The Annual Dinner Dance for 2012 will be held on 3rd November - details to follow.
The 2011 Annual Dinner was held on Saturday 29 October and we were pleased that the number sitting down showed an increase from 2010.
The photographic competition attracted a good entry of high quality pictures in the various categories. The 'FILM' category (which in recent years has included video) has had the definition widened so that it now includes audio/visual presentations.
The results were as follows;
Prints Shark off the Azores, Gary Fell, Worsley Branch
Digital Photographs Remoras Turning, Ros Parmenter, Pennine Orca Branch
Film Red Sea Adventure, Barbara Findlow, RoHo Branch
Juniors Inquisitive Seal, Ben Parker, RoHo Branch
This last category is a new one and we hope it will encourage more photographic activity within the junior club membership
Photographer of the Year 2011, for demonstrating a range of photographic skills, was awarded to
Barbara Findlow, RoHo Branch
The premier award of the year 'The Sir Wavell Wakefield Trophy' for the Diver of the Year was awarded to
Lindsey Crossley, Worsley Branch
Sad to say we missed the presence of Alan and Pat Watkinson, as most will know Alan sadly passed away earlier in the year.
